What I’ve been up to….13

DazStudio has always been a challenge to me, it’s UserInterface, Rendering, Lighting. And since I decided to give DazStudio one more try, I started creating poses for Genesis8Female and a braided hairstyle – Valorias Plate Fantasy Hair for G8, G8.1 & G9.
These poses will take some time mind you since Daz is not my usual 3D-Software and I’m also working on poses for L’Femme 2.


I decide to creat simple poses for G8F first, maybe a small set of 10 poses and include the mirrored versions of each pose. But I must not get ahead of myself and start with the first pose.
I use the InStyle poses I created for several other characters as base and then adapt them to G8Female.

Now, posing the hair will be an issue for me, it’s much easier in Poser for me to create poses very detailed and precise.
In DazStudio I only have that “ball” and some slides to move the figure. With braids this is hard to move the braid-parts with precision since I’m not used to this UserInterface.


It is a challenge to let the braid gently fall around the neck over the shoulder and down the chest. This will cost some time and effort but it is an excellent way to learn the UI of DazStudio and get use to it.

Now that the festive season is over and all the advent-calendars are done, some of my christmas-freebies offered there or elswhere will be uploaded here on my blog gradually. For the coming year I do have some idea’s for 3D aswell as 2D.
While cleaning up my files I bumped into some of my old free-stuff from way back and I’d like to try them in my newer poser-versions.
Maybe re-create them and check if the original items are still available.

DazStudio & Me….01

As long as I am dabbling in 3DGraphics I have had a love&hate relationship with Daz. Of course I started with DazStudio way back because the software is for free. I was such a newbie and mostly curious so before I wanted to spend a lot of money in this new hobby I started, I relied on freebies mostly.
DazStudio is software that can be downloaded for free, after all these years it still is. There is still a very basic amount of content to get one started but when you look around you can find enough good quality free available content to create some nice Artwork and learn to create 3DArt.

As a lot of others I started with DazStudio and allthough the software itself is very good and has developed really well over the years, I just couldn’t get along with the UI – User Interface. That “sphere” and I just couldn’t get along.
So I downloaded a trial-version of Poser and decided to take a chance. I bought Poser 6, or was it Poser 7….hmmm,…..anyway I’m on Poser version 12-13 now.

All the while I never really gave up on DazStudio, kept downloading the latest versions but didn’t really give it a serious effort untill they included dForce.
The Cloth-Room was the thing in Poser I can’t do without, dynamics in clothing to make them drape as natural as possible when rendering an image.
Now with the Annual-Christmas Advent and Sale at Renderosity and DazStudio I was able to buy some really nice items for DazStudio and I started to play around by first creating a nice character-mix with Generation8 Female as base.

I had allready purchased BuggaBoo by LadyLittlefox so I started to mix in some more different morphs. Personally, besides that DazStudio now has dForce, the ability to mix characters for a base-figure into one of your own, is a great pro that I really like.

So I have started, or better said, restarted my relationship with DazStudio and decided to begin by concentrating on G8Female first. Mix and match my own personal favorite morphs and materials of various characters made for G8Female.
Shop a little with these sales at Renderosity and Daz for G8Female and play around a bit.


And since there are plenty of fashion-diva’s around, people trying to be as realistic as possible, I prefere to look for a more “toonish” character. A bit more playfull, somewhere in between a teen and BuggaBoo…..

What I’ve been up to….12

It seems that 2025 was a busy year and that 2026 will be busy also but I still want to maintain my work in Poser, still learn about DazStudio – maybe create some poses esspecially for Daz – and create some work in PaintShopPro.

For now I started working with L’Femme 2, creating poses for her in Poser 12-13. It will be a set of various assorted poses, poses for general use.

I don’t know if the poses will work on L’Femme 1 aswell, as far as I have experienced the poses for L’Femme 1 or L’Femme 2 don’t automatically apply to one or the other.
For now I have only started the set and I don’t know how many there will be. There will be the mirrored version of every pose though.

It still in it’s early stages and there are only 6 poses as of yet.
For Daz I’m wondering who to create poses for. There are several characters I have in mind. Mostly G8F, BuggaBoo…..maybe the dog. But for now I just want to make it easy on me and create for a human character since poses for animals and other creates are so much more complicated and take longer to create.

I don’t know if I will upgrade to Poser 14. I understand there is no cloth-room in Poser 14 and I do like dynamics. For now I just create a new set of poses for L’Femme. Not even sure if they will be a freebie or something for in my store.

For more 2D-freebies you may want to check this blog regurlarly. I am extremely busy at the moment with work and our renovation-project but I will try to create more 3D&2D freebies for the coming year.
As for products for my store that will have to wait for a little longer as my “muse” for creating poses is on holiday so it seems. I will have to be patient to get some inspiration for those.

ABC Poses

I was finally able to finish the poses I started a while back for Scampixie Pranx-2 and my free available Alphabet that can be downloaded from this Blog.
You do need ScampixiePranx-2 by Elleque for these poses and I know, the character is no longer available for sale on any site anymore but maybe – if you still wish to obtain the character – you could try and contact her on her Blog.
For now this set is for anyone who has allready purchased Scampixie Pranx-2

I myself will take a small break because summer is coming and I do have to brew on those pressies for the end of the year. These things take time to create and most of us also have a job besides 3DComputer Graphics so I like to start on my idea’s early in the year.

We are also coming close to finish our recreational home as far as we can start cleaning and decorating it. In the fall the finishing touches will be added and hopefully next season the chalet will be completely done so we can start saving money for our garden.
Who knows I may start a Blog-Story on that journey with some photo’s but that would be a whole Blog on itself.

What I’ve been up to….11

The past couple of months I’ve been revisiting my old hobby PaintShopPro, creating tags&tubes. It’s alot of fun to do and it sparks a new found inspiration for creating poses aswell. I’ve let go of the selfimposed obligation of creating content for sale. That allows for freedom in my mind to just have some fun with everything.

Going back to my ‘basics’ if you will, also means going back to one of my favorite characters. Scampixie Pranx, version 2.

While creating new tube and tags I’ve gone back to Pranx 2 and my own created alphabet. For the first version of Pranx I had created a whole set of poses for Pranx & the alphabet that came with the set.
But Pranx 2.0 didn’t come with an alphabet so I decided to create some to match my own amateuristic alphabet.

I have just started and it’s still very early days but of course there will be one folder for the FullBody poses & another just for the Tails.

I don’t know how extensive this will get, I may combine creating for Poser the poses and for PaintShopPro the tubes. Who knows, maybe you have some idea’s. You can leave your suggestions here in the comment section.

Up till now I have finished 3 poses and they are created in Poser 13. It seem this latest version of Poser works differently from precious versions.
I will have to check that. I may have to update the poses I made in previous versions for Poser 13.

New Tubes Added

A long, long time ago I started my 3D ComputerGraphics from my dabbling in PaintShopPro and I started to create tubes first. One of my collections were Little Angels.
Created with MillBaby 3, back in the days of Poser 6 going on 7 and Victoria 4 being the latest new craze in characters.

They looked a bit like this, I still have them saved on my own PC and I don’t think I will ever release them again as tubes. They are to old and have become obsolete.

So I decided to create new one, with Hivewire BabyLuna as base and more in the style of Cherubs rather then Angels. Neatly dressed as the spirit of these times demand.

Time for some PSP

While I’m looking for inspiration to create some poses & textures, I’m revisiting one of my other hobbies PaintShopPro. I’m re-organizing the free available tubes and adding new ones.
Creating new tags with my tubes.
It’s nice to go back to where this hobby started in the first place. Who knows, I might create some free frames aswell.

For now I’ve added a new category of tubes. The Soccertods that were available as free textures for poser are now also available as tubes for PaintShopPro or any other graphic software that can read PNG-format. There are also new tubes added in other categories.

Gone & Done

Well, I’ve finally done it and I’m curious as to how much I will miss it. I’ve deleted, removed, deactived my Instagram and Facebook account.
My Twitter was allready gone, I removed that one the day it was taken over by Musk and changed the name to X. Not that I used that platform as much as Facebook but now I that I noticed Zuckerberg making avances towards losening the rules and his gentle steps in Trump’s direction I knew I was going to leave that platform aswell.
It’s getting to tainted now so I’m moving to alternatives and they are out there.

So you can find me on BlueSky, you can find me on DeviantArt and I’m still on Pinterest aswell for the time being. I’m also looking for some more alternatives and social platforms to explore so if you have any suggestions, please leave it in a comment.
I’ve tried Reddit but that one is to confusing for me.

Anyhew, if you’re stuck in your ways that’s okay but if you’re open to advice, leave Meta & X, they have made themselves impossible.

Exclusive Freebies added…3

I hope 2025 finds everybody in good health and with positive energy to start of the new year. I know I have had a great december month with family and also spend some quite time with a blanket on the sofa watching movies.
